Wings:
Begin by cutting a piece of the fusible interfacing to measure approx. 8"X10". Trace one wing, flip it over and trace the other wing. Iron the fusible interfacing together (follow the iron setting instruction on the fusible interfacing).

Make sure that your trace lines are clear and visible. If you can't see them, retrace before you begin to paint. Begin painting the wings with the tangerine color, as indicated. Do not rinse your brush. With a bit of tangerine still in the tip of the brush, dip it into the light yellow and paint the bottom part of the wing as indicated. Blending the two colors together. Using the black color fill in the outer edges, as indicated. Let dry completely or speed up the process by using a hair dryer.

Using a Uniball Vision Micro Marker, fill in the veins and any place that may need touching up.  Use a "White" Gel Roller to make the spots on the wings. Let dry completely, seal front and back with a light coat of Acrylic sealer. Lay aside.

Body:
Trace the body, using a pencil. DO NOT CUT OUT!! The trace lines are also the sewing lines.  Sew careful and slowly being sure to stay on the lines. Cut out using a 1/8" seam allowance, clip curves and turn. Stuff the head firmly. The body is stuffed light to medium. Be sure to get plenty of stuffing into the tips of the feet. Close opening and top stitch the legs as indicated on the pattern piece.

Assembly:
Cut out wings using a sharp pair of scissors. Place on body and tac into place. Next fill in a small half circle using the bronze colored gel roller, on the face of the pin. See pattern piece for approximate placement. Attach pin back, using a slip stitch and heavy matching thread.

Enjoy!
