Peter the Pack Rat Troll

Class Description:

Peter is made from Bamboo colored Buck Suede fabric.  His face is needle sculpted.  His nose and ears much resemble that of a rat.  He has opposable thumbs and his arms are connected using fabric tabs.

All clothing is made using recycled materials.  His shoes are made from an old T-shirt that has been painted with Sobo glue.  The glue helps in giving wrinkles and stiffening the fabric.

His suitcase was distressed and embellished with travel stickers.

Techniques Students will learn:

Students will learn the finer points of needle sculpting, using Ute’s fish line method.  Craft eyelids, create opposable thumbs, color the face, ears, fore arm and hands. Plus learn to make a paper towel template to help create a perfect fitting piece of hair.

You’ll learn applied method for making his clothes and shoes.

And depending on what he’ll be sitting on?!?  Distress and embellish a suitcase.
